WHAT IS GULF COAST CENTER DOING?
- GCC has resumed most in-person services across the 2-county catchment area for individuals & families served, including routine clinic visits, mental health and substance use individual counseling sessions, substance use referral services, mental health intake screenings for both youth and adults, and community crisis response services. Some group activities and services may be conducted virtually as determined.
- GCC continues precautionary measures to safeguard your health and safety and keep our employees safe, including health screening upon entry and masking & physical distancing in all clinical service sites.
- Connecting, educating, and supporting those we serve with continued services and resources related to COVID-19.
- Implemented health and safety COVID-19 related protocols across the organization.
WHAT CAN WE DO AS A COMMUNITY?
- Practice healthy hygiene by washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces, and avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
- Practice social distancing by avoiding gatherings, avoiding close contact with people who are sick, and staying home when you are sick.
- Follow recommendations of the CDC and your local county health district.
- Practice intentional self-care-it is normal to feel worried or stressed during this time; to maintain your mental health consider engaging in the following: regular exercise, deep breathing and stretching, rest, play, connection, and self-compassion.
